Mike has made the annoyingly efficient start of winning Week 1 with 25 points and going straight to the top on 25, leaving Barney tucked behind on 24. As if leading the table was not enough, they have also collected 7 bounties, so the rest of the league has several problems to solve. Adam and Karl apparently decided Week 1 was optional, did not bother showing up, banked a majestic zero each and have opened proceedings together at the bottom of the table They will need to improve next week, preferably by starting with actually turning up.
The returning cast also gets judged against Season 1, because apparently one league table was not enough. Mike is +16 points better off than at the same stage last season, which is either genuine improvement or suspiciously competent behaviour. Saxon is 8 points behind last season's pace, so the difficult sequel is currently doing exactly what difficult sequels do. Of the 9 returning players, 6 are ahead of last season's pace, 3 are behind.
